Most Inspiring Batangueño Entrepreneur Award


I am most appreciative and honored to have been given the Most Inspiring Batangenya Award, by GoNegosyo, and handed over to me by Governor Vilma Santos at the Provincial Auditorium, Batangas City.
"Most inspiring Batangueño Entrepreneur -Special Award for establishing http://www.batangasnow.com/ as the online portal that showcases the beauty of the province and its people, thus helping promote tourism in the province. Batangas is my old hometown, thus I felt compelled to accept the award in person, even though I am still recovering from a massive surgery. I also went to honor my ancestors who were from there and my father Ramon A Limjoco, who was the Charter and founding President of the Batangas Chamber of Commerce and the Batangas Lion's club in the 1960's. I want to give credit to my own mentors, Dennis Patterson who forced me into learning web design and Photoshop, and to my first cousin Joel Limjoco Pastor who allowed me to put up all the sites I wanted, such as http://www.limjoco.net/ our clan site.

I really could not have done this without the collaboration and skills of my hubby, Dave Dewbre who is CEO of our corporation, Digital Web Group, Inc.The trip really wore me out, but I am home safe and will most likely spend the weekend recovering in bed!

How MCTV15- Channel 15 Started

Setting the Record Straight As a major fundraiser for the annual 4th of July fireworks on the city of Mt. Shasta's local TV station, Channel 15, I wanted to put on a show about them.  I approached the City Administrator at that time, Joe Riker about it.  He then drove me to the Community center, opened up a door in the basement, we had to move chairs that were stacked all around, he took me to a corner where a funky tube TV sat on a rolling TV stand with an old VCR (we were already up to VCHR then) attached to it. Upstairs in the room where the Mt. Shasta City council held their meetings, there were fixed view, black and white security cameras attached to the live feed wire, and from there, the feed went to the TV and VCR. Someone had to personally go down to the basement and start the VCR to record the meetings each time.  When there were no Council meetings to air, Channel 15 broadcast text messages on a blue screen with public service, and city announcements.
